Ahhhh, that makes more sense now. the world of 'crystal' beading is a totally different world to the world of gemstone and crystal healing. I design and make jewellery too and so I do understand what you mean now.
Beads will not be real or true stone or crystals unless they are marked so and come from a dealer that specialises in gemstones. Bead dealers call their beads by the colour of the crystal they immitate or mimic, so blue beads may be called blue topaz or aquamarine but are infact glass. Many dealers have their own names too which give an indication of what the bead is made of. You need to change supliers and go to a gemstone dealer that specialises in beads. Many crystals do not make good beads and have to be treated and stabilised to stop them cracking or splitting, many crystals break when they are drilled and this makes theri price very high. I would not expect any beads from a bead shop to be real. Good quality crystals and gemstones never get made into beads, they are far too valuable as they are and so we use them in settings held by precious metals. Does that explain it more? Let me know
