Today I visited the local metaphysical shop in our area.  I always feel like i'm "back home" when I walk in, don't you?  Anyway, I made a couple purchases and I have some questions.

I purchased:

Mica: visions, mysticisim, self reflection, reduces hunger, insomnia, beauty for eyes & hair

Rose Quarts: Attracts love, heals emotional wounds, opens heart center, and clears skin.

Crystal:  A general healing and positivity gem

Tourmaline: Harmony, unconditional love, intuition, healing, lungs, brain, thymus, thyroid.

Questions:

I will be using sea salt to cleanse these. I cleanse them seperately, correct?

(1)  I want to use the crystal, tourmaline, and rose quartz together for the benefits.  What is the best way to use these?  Can I carry them together in a pouch and will simply carrying them allow the benefits to emerge?  Do any of you have suggestions as to the best way to use these crystals?

(2) I found the mica to be interesting when it came to visions, mysticisim & self reflection.  The stone itself is larger than the other gems I purchased. How should I use this one? Should this be carried with me as well or placed in any particular place?

(3) How do I get the most benefits out of the stones that I have purchased?


I also purchased Garnet for a close friend: love, devotion, commitment, gets rid of feelings of abandonment, disorders of spine.  

(4) -- If I give this to him, can he place this in his room or does he need to cary this on him to reap the benefits? I'd like to know so I can relay the information to him when he asks.

Your new stones sound lovely, but please don't put them anywhere near salt or seasalt, or you will damage them! Salt is very abrasive and not needed at all when it comes to cleansing.  You might like to read my webpages that give some information on this  www.gemscrystals.com

Really?  I had read that Sea Salt was one of the best ways to cleanse your crystals & stones.  At least I only spent $1.50 on the bag!  

Gem, do you happen to have the answers to my questions?  I want to begin using them but I want to make sure I do this all correctly.

I also located a page a couple months ago with suggestions of good crystals for children so once I get using these down pat, i'll then move on to purchasing some for my kids.

I cleanse new crystals by either

leaving in sunlight
leaving in moonlight

or

smudging in incense - pref. nag champra
