Have you checked the official mineral data base, it shows that this is not a recognized name but  one someone has dubbed to this stone, and is supposed to come from North Carolina, and is in fact just standard quarts. Just like some of the others such as Merlin quartz , Aqua Aura, Ruby Quarts, Cherry, all are coated with another mineral  and heated to create the desired effect.
The stone will always carry energy but sometimes the process of this creates unstable energies and must be cleared and then it will perform its correct duties.
Usually when a stone gets that hot it is trying to get your attention as it is asking for your help or trying to tell you something that is urgent so listen to your crystal.
