Hi Gem, can you suggest any gems or rituals that will help clear blockages in the career? I am wearing a green jadeite ring with diamonds on my left centre finger which is a replacement for an emerald (base on vedic astrology) which is suppose to be my good stone. I always find that just as it seems we are about to make some progress with our business, we like have to start at square one again. I can't explain this blockage but I believe if we can break through it, we will progress with leaps and bounds. Please give me your guidance.

to be honest I don't feel that substitution of gems works at all. The properties of Jadeite and Emerald are totally different, the colour is too, although both are green the resemblance ends there :(  Adding diamonds actually accentuates the differences and will make them more profound and powerful too.

Generally speaking career and business can profit from Amethyst clearing the stale stagnant energy and bringing in new positivity and then adding Citrine bringing in much needed sunny warmth and energy of abundance.  Are we talking office or home here? I really need to know more to be more accurate too

Hi Gem, we have a retail shop that sells arts and antiques. We believe in friendly competition but we have other shops selling the same things that don't. They will bad mouth about us to customers and make up stories. We can't stop them from doing that and I don't believe in tit for tat because than I am no better than them. But they just won't let up. One even went as far as to bring thugs to threaten us. We work hard and give excellent service but we just don't seem to progress much. Some month we can cover the expenses but some month we have to dip into our pocket. Which causes more worry as we see the level of our savings dip. There is no vibrancy. Also we can never get good help. Once they start to work for us, they morph into sloth-like creatures who will be late for work or talk back to us! But when they leave our company they realise we are good bosses and want to come back but of course it is impossible. . My hope is not so much to build a huge business empire, I value family time too much. I just want a steady income stream to maintain a very comfortable level for my family that we won't worry about the kids so much financially.

Hi Roz, I still suggest Citrine and Amethyst, but also some simple things that mix feng shui with crystals. Have you tried smudging the place? if herbs are too pungent for the artwork then try a small oil burner with citrus oils in. You can use bells too and ring them in each corner to change the chi of the property. Putting a piece of Rose Quartz either side of the door will help to improve everyone's mood when they enter. Black Tourmaline will help to stop and negative thoughts coming in and other things like making the atmosphere as inviting as possible will all help.  Clear Quartz will help the energy flow too. Using tiny mirrors in each window facing out is another positive effect.

I was wondering if there is something really old that was given to you that might be drawing in this negativity? Any ideas?

Hi Gem, had to do some house cleaning on sunday and had no time to log on   . The only negative thing that we had was when my mother actually came to stay with us in 2005. Come to think of it, it was from that point on that my finances started to turn bad. Before that she was visiting everyday as she lived nearby. My mother has always been super negative even when I was young. She always make me feel so inferior to my sister from a very young age. I understood that she wanted a boy when she was expecting me. So when she was with us, she "played" politics with my kids to the point where they could not tolerate her and each other and my eldest girl would keep away from home to avoid her. She also sends very negative vibes between me and my husband (whom she dislikes). It was difficult to ask her to leave as she will turn it into a drama so I took the only route I know to stop the cancer and sold the house (at a loss) and bought another further away. So I told her she can't stay with us as we have no room to spare and it is full of stairs unlike before. And you know Gem, although it has only been about a week since we moved, I feel more positive and happy and I can see that in my kids too. Hopefully this will spillover to my business too. .
