Depends what you mean by little.... they can be a great source of information. Be careful of what you read on the interenet, anyone can make and publish a website, and many sites run and rely on user information like Wikipedia for instance.

What I am wary of is driving a market for these crystals when they are so rare (many are fake) if you need one, then you will usually find that an opportunity to find one comes along

How does one tell if it is lemurian crystal? What are the charecteristics and what does it do?

LEMURIAN SEED CRYSTALS

           Lemurian Seed Crystals are crystals that are reputed to have been
           left by the Lemurians, an advanced ancient civilization, to teach
           and guide us in this time. These crystals are said to have been
           programmed with conscious connection and love. Lemurians hold and
           transmit messages of unconditional love, equality, and spiritual
           teachings. They are also great for dream work and dream
           interpretation. Lemurians have a very Yin or feminine energy, and
           for all their power are more gentle-feeling energetically than
           Yang/masculine crystals. They are very powerful tools for meditation

Lemurian seed crystals are naturally formed crystals that were found separately in sand, and were not attached to clusters. They immediately got attention because they were not like the rest of the quartz found in clusters in that area. From the early finds they had a pink to reddish glow, but now they have been finding clear quartz, citrine and smoky quartz lemurians. They have nice inner clarity, but instead of being shiny, they appear frosted or dull - like they have a matte finish. Their most unique characteristic is a series of horizontal striations running up one or more sides of the crystals. Usually, these distinct horizontal striations end in a triangular face, forming the apex of the crystal.

If you crystal is matte with horizontal striations and from Brazil, it could be a Lemurian. Lemurian seed crystals are from from Serra do Cabral, outside of Joaquim Felicio, in Minas Gerais, Brazil.

However, there are also Russian & Peruvian Lemurians that are slightly different. . I would hesitate looking on eBay as not all sellers are actually selling Lemurian crystals.
