Theres so many different types of Selenite. Clusters, slabs, green, clear completely see through, butterscotch, white, satin spar......the list goes on. Selenite is also known as the worlds natural fibre optic. I have some photos of a selenite cathedral on an LED light base that revolves and light up 8 different shades. These are gorgeous and the satin spar is the selenite that is used for this purpose.
I have a few photos of the different types of selenite available. Here in australia we get some gorgeous clusters. These are photos of my own collection.
Selenite is used for accessing a higher vibration and reaching your guides and angels. It can remove unwanted energies from your aura and is also good for aligning the spine. It is also known as the key to unlock your door to reaching your etheric chakras such as the crown and third eye.

This is a Green Selenite Cluster from Whyalla South Australia. This cluster is gorgeous to me as it has grown around some wood and even though it is not classed as a museum piece it is stunning in the fact of its display and the unusualness of its appearance.

This clear selenite has formed inside an amethyst cave. Some of these are crystal clear and look like glass. Like a window to the soul, these pieces are delicate and gorgeous and like all selenite it can never be used near water. Water will dissolve and break down the material. you can clean and energise selenite by light smoking with incense, full moon and sunshine, intnet of blowing gold air over it, burying in the earth. It is genearlly safer though to leave it out under 12hrs of full moon and 12hrs of sunlight if you would like to cleanse this crystal.

This is my favourite piece which is also from whyalla South Australia.
It has a butterscotch appearance with spiky selenite at the top with a layer of white soft selenite at the tips leaving it looking like it has been in the snow.
