Truth is there is more to it then just your year sign. A year sign is a very faint discription of qualities and personalities a person might posses.
Think about it... Back in high school, most of the people in your class are born in the same year. That would mean all of them are one sign. This is not true. A year is a very faint description of a person.
There are many other things combined to give a whole picture of a person.
I have read chinese astro and there are many other aspects included such as month sign, day sign, hour sign and of course year sign. There is also indepth aspects such as 4 pillars of destiny and elemental influences on the person. I myself is still discovering many things bout it. As far as i know.. my signs are:
Year: Metal Horse
Month: Metal Dragon
Day: Fire Rabbit
Hour: Fire Goat
Supposeably, year represents how others see you. Month represents your innerself and your ambitions. Day represents your true personality underlying your outside self. Hour is your secret sign that you keep hidden from the rest of the world about you.
Now these are still not enough to give a whole picture of a person. But it is more accurate then just your year.
And if there is a professional Chinese astrologist here... would love to hear what my signs give my faint picture
