Choosing A Tarot Deck - Suitable For You
In tarot it doesn't matter what cards you use. You do not have to use
tarot designed cards; you can use ordinary playing cards. When choosing
a pack do not go by price or quality; go by instinct of which you feel
drawn to. Your cards are your friends; the pack of cards usually
reflects you; for example, colorful, bold, strong.
There
are so many types of tarot cards available; different colors, shapes and
sizes. Personally I'd say keep away from the themed tarot cards (dragon
tarot, unicorn tarot, witches tarot.) until you are used to the standard
tarot deck.
Rider Waite seems to be the most popular tarot deck, yet you may feel
drawn to a different set; just go for what ever you feel happy with.
When storing them it’s wise to keep them in material; if possible purple
velvet; I do not advise keeping them in their boxes, yet you can if you
wish. Do whatever you feel drawn to do.
Most tarot books come with introduction booklets saying how to use your
tarot cards and giving a brief introduction to them.
