Chinese Calendar
The Chinese use a lunar calendar (based on the cycles of the moon),
although they have adopted the western calendar they still use the lunar
dates of celebration. Their new year is in late January to early
February, and they have 12 year cycles. Their year is split into element
first not animal; this is what people often get wrong. Only after the
years have split into elements are they split into animals.
