Hmmm, let me see, looking through my voluminous sack of miniturizaion, I pull out an icicle, three, no, eight diamonds, bat dung, rabbit whiskers, and a half eaten tuna sandwich.  I crush them altogether in my hands and whisper the words of power (don't you wish you knew what they were) although I take a bite of the sandwich first and the spell components explode in a ball of lite and heat, only slightly singing my eyebrows (and which is why I keep my hair short).  A vortex opens up in front of me, sucking in the bullet(s) from Jallious's strange temporal contraption, and hurls them back in time, killing a mass murderer (divine justice, that) and saving the thread from a premature death.  Some of the energy from the blast cleans Pluto the Dog so he is spotless and he jumps out of the bath, shaking water on an annoyed Rhuto the Cat and an even more annoyed Jallious.  Rhia looks around with hands on hips, thinking "I've done good," wondering where Vish went off to.

Anyway, there is no way you can do all that in the time My bullet left the gun, and the time it hit the thread. Nice rolplay, though.

Oh sure I can!  I pull out a small vial of Scalosian water, drink then recite the magic words deelawinkofaneye and I move with astonishing speed.  The bullet's speed of Mach 3 or so is painfully slow and I re-read the 700 page Sagas of Icelanders as I wait for the bullet to move a few inches.  After I finish the text, I perform the necessary magic, singe my hair, clean the dog, eat the sandwich, and, oh yeah, and save the thread (Yay, Rhia!)  I use one of my remaining two antidotes to Scalosian water (thanks Spock) and leave accelerated time where a second is an eternity.
