Adana Lagna

This is also known as the Nisheka Lagna.  This is a special ascendant that occurred at the time of conception.

This can be calculated from the Janma Kaala. The difference between the position of Saturn and Mandi (a mathematical point that rises everyday a certain number of hours after sunset) is calculated and the difference between the Lagna and the cusp of the 9th house is added to it. The resultant signs will signify the months, the degrees, the days and the minutes elapsed since the time of conception. Its not easy to note the time of exact fertilization of the ovum. But even then, the time of falling of the sperm is taken as Adhana Lagna.  

Some astrologers also were able to predict the information related to pregnancy that can be obtained from this Lagna. This includes the progress and outcomes of the pregnancy, sex, colour, complexion, defects if any in the child to be born and the exact time and planetary positions at birth. The future and destiny of the child could also be predicted.
